SATAN SENT ME! Man Claims
Police have revealed that the man who speared a GSU officer to death outside State House Monday claims to have been sent by Satan to attack the officer.
“This man claims he was sent by Satan to attack the police officer. He killed him, and he is lucky to be alive himself,” said an officer aware of the developments.
The suspect told the police that he had walked to the area as instructed by Satan. Identified as Kinyuka Kinyumi, 56, he was arrested right at the scene.
In a shocking turn of events, this man attacked and killed an armed officer stationed at State House in Nairobi.
The assailant used a spear to carry out the attack outside Gate D, which is typically used by the public to enter the State House.
The spear struck the left side of the officer’s chest, resulting in his death.
The motive behind the incident, which occurred around 11 am, has not yet been determined.
The officer, who was part of the General Service Unit’s G Company, was declared dead upon arrival at Kenyatta National Hospital. Officials reported that he had lost a significant amount of blood by the time he reached the hospital.
The assailant was apprehended at the scene and taken in for questioning amid widespread panic. It’s still unclear whether he had any prior knowledge of the officer he killed.
The location of the attack is generally a security checkpoint for vehicles and pedestrians heading to the State House.
Witnesses reported that the suspect approached the scene pretending to be part of the street families, carrying a sack. Inside that sack, he had hidden a spear.
He then crouched behind a flower bed, pulled out the spear, and fatally struck the officer in the chest, according to witnesses. At that moment, the officer and two others were occupied with checking and clearing a vehicle that was entering the State House.
Senior police officials, including Kilimani police chief Patricia Yegon and her DCI counterpart Hussein Mahat, arrived at the scene and later visited the hospital where the officer’s body was taken. They mentioned that the suspect is currently under investigation to uncover the motive behind the attack.
Other officials from the State House were also at the hospital. This incident occurred just hours after another GSU officer was strangled and drowned near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following a confrontation with a man.
