It’s been just a few weeks since we lost the esteemed broadcaster and former Director of State Events, Sammy Lui.
Lui passed away on Thursday, October 23, at his home in Subukia, Nakuru County.
He kicked off his media journey at KBC, which was known back then as the Voice of Kenya (VOK).
After that, he made his way to KTN and eventually joined the Office of the President, where he climbed the ranks to become the director of state events.
Throughout his career, Lui had the honor of serving as the MC during the tenures of former Presidents Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki, and even part of Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.
He played a key role in coordinating significant national events, such as Jamhuri Day, Madaraka Day, and Mashujaa Day celebrations.
