11-Year-Old Found Dead on Farm
Police in Nyandarua County have kicked off an investigation into the shocking murder of an 11-year-old boy, whose dismembered body was found on a farm in the Magumu area, just off the Nairobi–Naivasha highway.
The boy had been reported missing for a day before his body was discovered on October 30, with his head severed. The motive for this horrific crime remains a mystery.
According to the police, local residents stumbled upon the child’s body in a maize field and quickly alerted the authorities.
Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that the boy had been identified by his mother, who shared that he had left home on October 29 and never came back.
At the site, detectives found a two-kilogram packet of maize flour, some clothing, and several empty carrier bags that are believed to have belonged to the victim.
Police noted that aside from the decapitation, there were no other visible injuries on the body, which has since been taken to the mortuary for a postmortem and further investigation.
This gruesome event has left the Magumu community in disbelief as police ramp up their efforts to uncover the motive and track down those responsible for this heinous act.
In another incident in Nyamira County, authorities are on the hunt for a man suspected of murdering his wife during a domestic dispute in Rigoma village.
The victim, a 42-year-old woman named Nancy Ongeri, was reportedly killed in her home after an argument with her husband on October 30.
Investigators revealed that she suffered severe cuts to her face, forehead, cheeks, and chest.
Residents informed the police that the couple had a history of frequent domestic disputes leading up to this tragic event.
The police have kicked off a manhunt for the suspect and are urging him to turn himself in at the nearest police station.
The woman’s body has been taken to the mortuary, where it will await an autopsy.
In a separate incident in Vihiga County, detectives are investigating another horrific murder after a man was discovered dead with severe cuts on his head, throat, and left ankle in the Mbale area.
Officers who arrived at the scene reported that the victim’s genitals had been mutilated and were missing.
Investigators suspect that the man may have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped at this location.
