A woman who spent nearly ten years pretending that Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior was the father of her child has finally faced justice after a Milimani court exposed her elaborate lie.
Victoria Ndunge Musyoki had long claimed that Mutula was the biological father of her child, even filing a case in 2016 at the Milimani Children’s Court seeking child support. She portrayed herself as a wronged lover abandoned by the county boss and demanded millions in child maintenance.
Court records show that through her lawyers, Osundwa & Company Advocates, Ndunge sued Mutula for child upkeep, education, and medical expenses. Believing he might be the father, Mutula—represented by Kilonzo & Company Advocates—made several payments in good faith. However, he maintained that the claims were false and meant to tarnish his name.
To settle the matter, Mutula requested a DNA test, which the court approved. Ndunge resisted the test several times, but the court insisted. When the samples were finally tested, the results proved that the child was not Mutula’s.
The revelation changed everything. The court ruled that Ndunge had engaged in “deliberate deceit with financial intent.” In 2023, the Milimani Children’s Court ordered her to refund Sh15 million to the governor and pay additional legal costs.
Despite the order, Ndunge failed to comply. The court later issued a warrant for her arrest after she ignored repeated orders to pay or present a repayment plan. She was eventually arrested and remanded at Lang’ata Women’s Prison.
Her lawyer pleaded for leniency, arguing that imprisonment would prevent her from selling her property to settle the debt. However, Chief Magistrate Bernard Ochoi rejected the plea, citing that Ndunge had been evading arrest for over a year.
In June 2025, the magistrate noted that Ndunge was a flight risk and ordered her to remain in custody until she provided a concrete payment proposal. After weeks of negotiation, her legal team reached a settlement with the governor’s lawyers.
On September 25, 2025, both parties signed a consent agreement adopted by the court. Under the deal, Ndunge admitted owing the decretal sum of Sh15 million and an additional Sh345,000 for bailiff costs. To pay the amount, she agreed to sell her property in Donyo Sabuk within 90 days.
The ruling marked the end of a long and dramatic legal battle that began with deceit and ended with justice finally catching up.
