Sh2.5 million reward for a missing dog
Wales football star Aaron Ramsey has upped the ante on the reward for information about his missing dog, Halo, to a whopping $20,000 (Sh2,584,400).
The former Arsenal and Cardiff midfielder, now playing for Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, revealed that Halo was last spotted in San Miguel de Allende, located in Mexico’s Guanajuato region.
This beagle went missing on October 9 and was wearing a dog tracker collar at the time. Ramsey even shared a Google Maps link showing the exact spot where she was last seen.
“Any news about our Halo, please contact us. Big reward for finding her. We are all praying she’s ok and can be back with us soon,” Ramsey posted on Instagram.
The footballer first shared the news that Halo had gone missing two weeks ago, and since then, he’s been posting several heartfelt photos of his beloved pet on Instagram.
Initially, a reward of $10,000 (Sh1,292,200 million) was offered, but after a week with no updates on Halo’s whereabouts, Ramsey and his family decided to double that amount.
“We just want our girl back,” he expressed in another emotional plea on social media after their 10-year-old dog went missing.
The latest photo he shared is a touching black and white shot of Halo peacefully snoozing, her head nestled in the crook of Ramsey’s arm, accompanied by the caption: “What I’d do to hold you one last time, Halo.”
Ramsey also posted a message from his wife, Colleen, on social media, revealing that they have some “serious questions” about Halo’s disappearance and are worried that the family “may never get answers.”
“We still haven’t found Halo. I don’t think we ever will,” his wife’s post read.
The captain of Wales made a move to the Mexican top-flight club Pumas UNAM earlier this year, and he kicked off his Liga MX journey in August. Hailing from Caerphilly, he’s made history as the first prominent British player to step onto the pitch in the Mexican league
