Man Killed by Friends in Deal
A man was tragically found dead with stab wounds after an altercation with his friends in what appears to be a botched deal in the Kariobangi area of Nairobi.
The victim, identified as Samuel Mbogo, was discovered lying on the roadside Wednesday afternoon, shortly after witnesses reported seeing him in a heated argument with three companions.
Nairobi police chief George Seda stated that officers arrived at the scene to find Samuel’s body in a pool of blood, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest, head, back, and stomach, just moments after the attack took place.
According to Seda, the three attackers fled the scene immediately following the incident.
A search of the victim’s body revealed Sh4,500 and three different ATM cards.
Witnesses informed the police that Samuel had been with the three men before a dispute erupted over an undisclosed deal. He was subsequently stabbed several times and left for dead.
Authorities have since transported the body to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation.
Seda mentioned that they are actively pursuing the assailants for questioning and additional procedures.
The area has gained a reputation for violent crimes, even with increased police efforts to tackle the issue. In another part of Nyamira Town, a man’s body was discovered on the roadside, bearing a stab wound on his collarbone. Authorities reported that the man has not yet been identified.
They also noted that he had been strangled, according to police at the scene of the incident that took place on Tuesday. The reason behind the incident in the Bosamaro area remains unclear. When police arrived to transport the body to the mortuary, they noticed that the deceased’s clothing was stained with blood.
Law enforcement is actively investigating the murder. Meanwhile, in the Muungano area of Athi River, Machakos County, police are looking into the murder of a woman whose body was found lying on the roadside.
When her body was discovered on Tuesday, she had no identification documents with her, according to the police.
The body has been taken to the mortuary, where an identification process and autopsy will be conducted. The motive behind her murder is still under investigation.
