Pastor ng’ang’a begs after confession
Just a few days after a video surfaced showing Neno Evangelism pastor James Ng’ang’a admitting to sexually assaulting an unnamed woman along with seven other men, he has released another video, this time expressing remorse for his earlier shocking confession.
In a clip that lasts under a minute, the city pastor pleaded with viewers to consider his age and to forgive him for any mistakes he might have made, though he didn’t directly address the rape allegations.
Halfway through the undated video, Ng’ang’a became emotional, shedding tears and starting to pray before abruptly wrapping up the clip.
“Even if I have wronged, just forgive me because I am growing old,” Ngang’a lamented before breaking down and starting to pray mid-sentence.
“Yes, my father. Yes, Jehovah Lord. Help me, Lord. Thank you,” he prayed. “I might not finish this because I am feeling the grace of God.”
Earlier this week, a shocking video made its rounds on the internet, showing Pastor Ng’ang’a confessing to a horrific crime during a church service.
“We assaulted one woman while we were eight people. We did it,” the preacher could be heard saying in the clip.
The comments ignited a flurry of reactions among Kenyans, with many, including Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, urging the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to look into the matter.
“In this era of AI-generated and manipulated videos, I don’t know if the clip is genuine or a deep fake, but one thing remains: it must be investigated,” Passaris wrote on Tuesday, October 7.
“If that video is real, then it is not a sermon, it is a criminal confession. It should have been flagged instantly, and the pastor picked up for questioning by the authorities.”
Just two days later, the pastor stated that the ongoing attacks were completely unjustified and stemmed from some politicians feeling threatened by his significant following.
“What have I now done? I know you people will make phone calls that I be arrested, what is that now? There is God in heaven, and one day you will pay. You started by attacking me with this land; you don’t fear the Lord,” the pastor said.
Ng’ang’a confidently declared, “I’ll take my case to God, who will scatter you,” expressing his frustration at not having the same opportunities to present his concerns as those in Parliament.
