Savara Earns Grammy Consideration
Savara Mudigi, a talented Kenyan singer-songwriter and a proud member of the award-winning pop group Sauti Sol, has earned a spot on the Grammy consideration list for both Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance.
His popular tracks ‘Sianda’, released earlier this year, and ‘Show You Off’, which came out in October 2025, have been submitted to the Recording Academy for review ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
This program provides a fantastic platform for up-and-coming artists to shine and gain recognition as they pursue their dreams of reaching the prestigious music awards.
The online entry period for Grammy U members was open from July 16 to 30, 2025, allowing eligible recordings and videos to be considered for the Grammy Awards ballot.
As we gear up for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026, the nominations will be announced on November 7, 2025.
Savara shared his appreciation for the recognition, posting on X: “I’m honored to be considered by the @recordingacademy for Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance.”
“Big love to everyone who’s been part of this journey — the team, collaborators, and every listener pushing the sound forward. This is just the beginning,” he added.
The recognition is a significant milestone for Savara as he embarks on his solo journey following Sauti Sol’s hiatus.
Back in 2021, the boy band was honored with a Grammy certificate for their role in Nigerian artist Burna Boy’s album ‘Twice as Tall’, which snagged the award for Best Global Music Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards.
Fast forward to 2023, and the group received an invitation to become voting members of the Recording Academy.
