Woman Found Dead After Dandora Fight
A tragic incident unfolded in Dandora, Nairobi, where a 40-year-old woman was found dead after an alleged assault by a man believed to be her husband during a domestic dispute.
The lifeless body of Judy Wambui Maina was discovered on the floor on Sunday, October 12, 2025, well after the crime had taken place.
According to Nairobi police chief George Seda, her husband, who is the prime suspect, was nowhere to be found.
Neighbors reported hearing a disturbance coming from the couple’s home, prompting them to investigate. It was during this check that they stumbled upon Judy’s body, which had a noticeable injury to her head.
Authorities were alerted, and the police arrived to transport the body to the mortuary, where it will await an autopsy and further inquiries.
As of Monday, the suspect remained at large, with police actively working to track him down for questioning.
Sadly, incidents of murder involving women have been increasing, despite ongoing efforts to combat this troubling trend.
Earlier this year, a special task force was established to look into the alarming rise in killings targeting women, and they have already submitted a preliminary report, though it has yet to be released to the public.
In a separate case in Mosoriot, Nandi County, a 60-year-old man named Nathan Ngesirei was discovered dead and unclothed by the roadside, also a victim of murder.
Police have not yet determined the motive behind this murder, which occurred on October 12, 2025.
Nathan’s body showed visible head injuries, and a blood-stained piece of wood was found nearby. Like Judy’s, his body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation.
In Daraja Mbili, located in Maseno, Kisumu County, a tragic incident unfolded when a 25-year-old man named Hillary Odhiambo was discovered dead in his home, having been stabbed.
According to the police, his body bore two stab wounds—one in the back and another in the chest. They reported that Hillary had gotten into a heated argument with his cousin over a missing mobile phone charger, which escalated into a physical confrontation. It was during this altercation that he was allegedly stabbed.
Officers investigating the scene found blood stains leading to the suspect’s house, which was about 100 meters away. They also recovered a blood-stained shirt and a slasher, believed to be the weapon used in the attack.
The suspect was later apprehended while seeking medical treatment for injuries on his left palm at a local hospital, and he is expected to face murder charges. Meanwhile, the body has been taken to the mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
In a separate incident in Kendu Bay, Homa Bay County, police are looking into a drowning case. This unfortunate event took place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Kasiege Beach, involving a 22-year-old fisherman named Byron Ochieng. He had set out for a fishing trip on Lake Victoria that day but never returned home.
This led to a search by local fishermen, and just two days later, they discovered his body floating close to the shore. The body was then taken to the mortuary, where it would await an autopsy and further investigations.
