Boda Rider Found Dead
A bodaboda rider was tragically found murdered after being robbed of his motorcycle in the Emenwa area of Nyamache, Kisii County.
According to the police, the body of 25-year-old Brian Oseko was discovered on the morning of Thursday, October 9, 2025, lying on the Emenwa-Makonge Road following his murder.
So far, the assailants remain at large.
Authorities reported that the body showed signs of head injuries, and his motorcycle was missing after the robbery.
Fellow riders mentioned that he had been hired by two men to take them to Gitae village, but during the trip, they turned out to be thugs who attacked him, leaving him dead.
They fled the scene with his motorcycle.
The police are actively investigating the murder and have urged riders to comply with attackers during such incidents to ensure their own safety.
The body has been taken to the mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
In a separate incident in Londiani, Kericho County, police are looking into the discovery of human remains found at a carrot farm.
A local farmer in the Chemare area reported that while harvesting carrots, he stumbled upon the remains.
Police were called to the scene where they discovered a skull, several bones, a piece of underwear, a pair of socks, and a bedsheet that was likely used to wrap the body.
Locals believe the remains belong to a 42-year-old man named Stephen Kimani, who went missing back in August 2012.
The police have taken the bones to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation.
Authorities suspect that the victim was murdered elsewhere and that his body was dumped at this secondary location.
As of now, the motive behind the murder remains unclear, according to the police. The upcoming autopsy will aim to determine the cause of death and confirm the victim’s identity.
Murder cases have been increasing, despite ongoing efforts to address the reported incidents.
In another case in Nakuru’s Teachers area, a man was found dead in a residential home.
Neighbors reported hearing screams coming from the house and rushed over, only to find that 55-year-old Erastus Kingori had been killed.
Kingori, who was the caretaker of the property, is believed to have been attacked by unknown assailants early Wednesday morning.
The attack resulted in fatal injuries to his neck. Police stated that the attackers fled the scene shortly after carrying out their act.
The motive for this murder has not yet been determined, and the police have moved the body to the mortuary for an autopsy.
