Man murdered, body abandoned on roadside in Magena
Police are looking into the murder of a 20-year-old man whose body was found abandoned by the roadside in the Magena area of Kisii County.
According to the authorities, Tomson Osiemo’s body was discovered with injuries to his head.
He had reportedly been missing from home for a night before he was found.
The motive behind the killing is still unclear, and no arrests have been made at this point.
His body has been taken to the mortuary while an autopsy and further investigations are carried out.
In a separate case in Sigomere, Siaya County, police are also investigating the death of Bernard Okoth, 40, whose body was discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple cuts on his head and legs.
The motive for this incident is still unknown, and his body has been sent to the mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, in Narok County, police are looking into the discovery of a fully decomposed human skeleton found along a riverbank.
Local residents who came across the remains alerted the authorities. Police mentioned that the skeleton seemed to have been washed downstream by the water.
In the Barwaqo area of Wajir County, a 26-year-old man named Mohammed Salat was stabbed and fatally injured during an argument.
He was declared dead at a local hospital.
Police reported that a suspect was arrested a few hours later, and a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered from the scene.
An autopsy was performed before the body was released to the family for burial.
In another incident in Kopolo, Bondo, Siaya County, a dispute over a piglet killed by dogs turned deadly when a man allegedly attacked and fatally injured his neighbor.
Police stated that Moses Owuor died at Uyawi Hospital after suffering deep cuts to his head and face during the altercation at his home.
Owuor, who worked as a caretaker at a pig farm, had reportedly chased away a dog before the tragic incident occurred.
