Obinna Denies Dark Claims
Media personality Oga Obinna has clapped back at those accusing him of using the late musician Shalkido for sacrifice. He felt the need to respond after some online chatter linked him to the tragic passing of the artist.
Shalkido, who was part of the well-known Gengetone duo Sailors, recently passed away, and his death has led to a flurry of false claims. Some users on social media have suggested that Obinna’s success is connected to dark rituals, with others even pointing to his car’s number plate as evidence.
In a recent turn of events, Obinna shared a video featuring content creator Prince Mwiti on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. In the video, he stood up for Mwiti and called out those who were spreading falsehoods. Mwiti himself brushed off the rumors as completely unfounded, pointing out that people have become far too eager to twist every little situation.
“Mahali imefika, kila mtu akae kiviyake na mashida zake,” Mwiti said. “Unasaidia mtu dakika mbili kitu ikifanyika, ulimtoa kafara. Kila mtu akae kivyake. Mtu anakaa hivi, gari ya Obinna ni 666, tumekubali ku elevate the devil. Kwani ni mashetani pekee zinaweza pea mtu pesa? Kwani mungu hawezi pea mtu pesa? Kwindeni huko.”
Mwiti’s message was a clear reply to those who suggested that Obinna’s car, bearing the number 666, represented evil. He emphasized that not every success story has to be tied to dark forces, asserting that God can also bestow wealth upon people.
Obinna shared a video along with his own thoughts, voicing his disappointment and frustration over how quickly people can turn against others, even when intentions are good. “Nimejichuna maskio. Nijikute tena. Wanadamu hawana shukrani. Saa hii kila mtu apambane tu,” he expressed.
He further remarked that no matter what actions one takes, there will always be critics. “Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t. I would rather when I don’t,” he added.
His comments served as a caution to those who spread misinformation and highlighted how often good deeds go unrecognized. Obinna’s post captures the pain and fatigue of being constantly misunderstood and wrongfully accused, despite striving to maintain a positive reputation.
The media personality’s remarks have shed light on the troubling trend of associating success with dark forces, and how such allegations can take an emotional toll on public figures.
